We have done a brainstorming about the Moon:

-          Its gravity is 4,9g

-          Moon’s gravity is less than Earth’s gravity

-          It has two movements (revolution movement around the earth and the rotation movement)

-          It has phases

-          It does not have atmosphere

-          The moon does not have its own light

-          A quarter of the size of the earth

How is possible if the moon have momevent, that we only see one side of the moon?
The reason why only this face of the Moon is visible from Earth is because the Moon revolves around its axis of rotation at the same speed at which it orbits around the Earth.
In class, we have done a representation of the thing we have explained above.
  • Who does de new moon looks like? The moon is unlighted
  • Who does the first quarter looks like? Like a D
  • Who does the full moon looks like? Lighted
  • Who does the third quarter looks like? Like a C
Then, we have seen a video about the phases of the Moon

Then we have been talking about some vocabulary like crescent and Gibbons, and waxing and waming. We have related them with the phases of the moon.

For there to be an eclipse, the sun, the moon and the earth must be in the same place. The phases in which we can observe an eclipse are in new moon and full moon.
