Today's class was very entertaining and very fun.
At the beginning, the group of 3º of infant, made us a gymkana related to the plastic theme that I loved doing, it was very entertaining and fun.
Next, a group of our class has presented their final project and we have had a debate related to the disappearance of plastic from supermarkets.
Finally, the teacher has explained two works that we have to do.

In the first part of class, we have been talking about the final exam.
Afterwards, we have made an assessment of the final project where we have seen and taken into account the objectives that we initially set together with the deadlines, seeing if the deadlines and dates that we agreed on have been fulfilled. We have seen what has worked well and what, on the contrary, has not turned out as we wanted.
To finish the class, we have done an ecosystem questionnaire.

Today we
have continued with the new unit, seeing the doubts that we had about the new
doubts that may have arisen with the new concepts. Irene has introduced us a
video and after watching the video, we have been talking a bit about the
performance of people today in relation to the video.
Then we
have had a discussion related to biodiversity and human viruses.
Finally, we
have interacted with a simulator and we have introduced different species of
plants, herbivores, omnivores and predators and we have seen how adding
different species, how they survive over the years. It was very interesting to
see it. Following this, we have to do an activity.
April 22, 2020
Today we
have started a new unit, ecosystems. We have been talking about unity in
general and have seen some concepts.
We have
discussed photosynthesis and its importance.
Finally, we
have evaluated our colleagues the previous questionnaire we did about plastic.
April 17, 2020
Today's
class was very entertaining. We have started with a small individual comment
about the documentary that we have seen on plastic. We have given an opinion
about the image that the documentary gives of the world in which we live.
After this,
we have had a debate which, despite having given the online class, has gone
quite well. One group has taken the position that humans can stop using plastic
100% and the other group has defended the opposite position.
April 15, 2020
Today we
have filled in a file about our plastic project where we have talked about the
difficulties that have arisen throughout it.
In
addition, Irene has asked us to watch a documentary related to plastic and has
left us time in class to start watching it. It looks very nice.

March 27, 2020.
Today I have felt less overwhelmed since little by little we are seeing the shape of the final project. Basically today's class has been invested in talking with our group about the project.
We have agreed on the delivery dates of each part and we have started working.

March 25, 2020.
Today, due to the quarantine circumstances in which we find ourselves, we have had our first online class.
During the hour, we have organized ourselves as we can into groups and have spent the time talking about the project. Because we do not know how or when we are going to return to the university, my group has had to modify a little the activity that we were going to carry out and finally, we have reached to an agreement.

Our last class before we go to our interships.
In the first hour of class we have been talking to the groups about the material that we will need to carry out the final project, and the budget that we need to carry it out.
Then we have continued with the agenda related to the atmosphere. We have seen the water cycle and the formation of clouds.
March 4, 2020
In today's class we have been talking about various topics. Each group had a different theme and two people from each group have come out to explain it.
Firstly, an explanation has been made about why we can see the blue sky during the day while it changes color at Sunset.
The second group has been explaining the types of pollution that exist in the atmosphere.
Lost of ozone, an important component for us since it filters v-rays. They have created an international protocol to reduce ozone loss.

Then we have discussed the parameters that affect temperature:
- latitude. Measure the position from the north to the south pole
- Season. It is not the same temperature now as in July.
Important definition:
- daily temperature range. It is kbtained substracting the daily minimun tempersture from the dsily maximun
- daily mean temperature
- Monthly mean temperature
- Annual mean temperature. Average of the twelve monthly means.

Today, just
at the beginning of class, we have been reviewing the exam questions we did the
day before in which we had some doubts.
Next, we
have taken up the theme of the atmosphere,
What is the
atmosphere like?
We can make
different distinctions starting with layers;
Why do we
say it has layers?
Because it
increases and decreases in temperature.
-
Troposphere. The first one, where weather
occurs. We have vertical mixing of air. Main composition is Nitrogen and
Oxygen. It is hated with radiation emitted from Earth.
-
Stratosphere. Beyond the troposphere up to 50 km.
Atmosphere ozone is concentrated in this layer. Heat source: ultraviolet radiation.
-
Mesosphere. Here temperature drops. Lowest
temperature in the atmosphere. Here occur what we call meteor shower.
-
Thermosphere. We do not have much mutter. We have very few
particles. The density is much nearer vacuum
Then we
have been talking about the green house.
It is a
natural and very important process for us.
We are
causing global warming because of contaminants that we use in our day to day.

Atmosphere
- What is the atmosphere?
A layer that protect the surface of the earth. It is made of gases and air. We can find oxygen, C02, carbon,... It main compounds are nitrogen.

A mixure of many discrete gases, each with its own properties, in which varying quantities of tiny solid and liquid particles are suspended.
Weather. State of the atmosphere at a given time and place.
Climate. Sum of all statistical weather information that helps describe a place or a region.
Weather forecasts that go beyond a few days are not reliable.
Weather and climate main variables:
- Air temperature
- Humidity
- Type and amount of cloudiness
- Type and amount of precipitation
- Air presure
- Speed and direction of wind
All are interrelated.
Chemical composition:
The atmosphere is not as stable as we tend to think.

We have
done a brainstorming about the Moon:
-
Its gravity is 4,9g
-
Moon’s
gravity is less than Earth’s gravity
-
It
has two movements (revolution movement around the earth and the rotation
movement)
-
It
has phases
-
It
does not have atmosphere
-
The
moon does not have its own light
-
A
quarter of the size of the earth
How is possible if the moon have momevent, that we only see one side of the moon?
The reason why only this face of the Moon is visible from Earth is because the Moon revolves around its axis of rotation at the same speed at which it orbits around the Earth.
In class, we have done a representation of the thing we have explained above.
- Who does de new moon looks like? The moon is unlighted
- Who does the first quarter looks like? Like a D
- Who does the full moon looks like? Lighted
- Who does the third quarter looks like? Like a C
Then, we have seen a video about the phases of the Moon
Then we have been talking about some vocabulary like crescent and Gibbons, and waxing and waming. We have related them with the phases of the moon.
For there to be an eclipse, the sun, the moon and the earth must be in the same place. The phases in which we can observe an eclipse are in new moon and full moon.

Seasons and climate.
Earth axis is titules 23,5º from the ecliptic plane.
- Equinox - same day and night length
- Solstice - greatest difference between day and night length. Autumn and spring.
We have seen a picture of the ecliptic plane and we have been talking a bit about the axes , the movemente of the earth.
In addition, we have been checking with the flashlights of our mobiles how if we put the light vertically or horizontally, the amount of illuminated space changes.
In our summer we are further from the sun so, this is not the cause of the distribution of the seasons.
In summer, the sun is higher. Being higger means that the sun heat more than in winter.
How can we explain the temperature differences in the seasons from outside the earth? Because the earth moves around the sun but at the same time they have a tilt ax.
Next and in relation to the above, we have seen a video that demonstrated the position of the earth with respect to the sun, solstice by solstice. We have been able to observe how the duration of the light also changes in the days, like a few days before dark and others after.
Following an illustration by Frato, who writes a lot about education, we have been talking about whether the sun is the one that moves, or is the earth. ‘Apparent path’ definition has appears; the ecliptic is the mean plane of the apparent path in the Earth's sky that the Sun follows over the course of one year; it is the basis of the ecliptic coordinate system. This plane of reference is coplanar with Earth's orbit around the Sun
Where does the rise rise from? The east for the whole planet.

Today we have invested the first hour of the class in doing a project that the teacher has sent us about doing at scale size, the distance before the sun and the earth and Jupiter. We have gone out to the playground and we have made them
Then, we have thought about possible solutions what we can do in relation to the solutions we proposed last day to reduce the use of plastic. Possible solutions are as follows:

At the beginning of class and given that the teacher could not spend much time in our class, she sent us a school paper.
We had to get the data of the diameters of the planets of the Solar System and their distance between each other in order to build a real-size model of the distances between each other's averages, so today's class has been dedicated to calculate distances and lengths.

At the beginning of the class, we went down to the playground and made a routine of thinking. I see, think and wonder. These have been my responses to that routine:
Next, our group has talked a little about the following questions:
•Where we are?
We are in the universe, in the solar system as well as in the earth, also in a country called Spain and in a city called Madrid. If we think about this moment, we are in Francos Rodríguez, at the University of Ces Don Bosco.
• Where does the information from the universe come from?
Information comes from everywhere, all we see is because the universe influences every matter.
• What is the universe like?
The earth is like a sphere with different colors among which we find blue, green, brown and white. This is due to the ecosystem. There is more water than anything else on earth.
Then we started talking a little about the beginning of the first unit. We have talked about earth movements and finally, each group has read an article in relation to plastic.

I see a wonderful landscape with lot of plants.
Today is such a sunny day.
I can see some trees without leaves.
|
I think that today it is not going to rain because the sky is without clouds
I think that today is not a typical day of february
|
I wonder why it is so hot when it is only 5th of february
I wonder which part of the universe is that plane going to
I wonder why nature is such an amazing thing.

Firstly, we have to discuss the best option with the group and give arguments as to why we have chosen it. Options:
- Using less plastic when doing the shopping
- Excess of plastic bottles and plastic cups
- Air pollution in Madrid
We have chosen the one of the plastic bottles because we think that the 3 people that form our group, we make a high consumption of plastic bottles every week and we think that there are numerous alternatives to fight them.
In the first place there are numerous types of aluminum bottles that we can fill with water as many times as we want and can last for years, they pollute much less than plastic.
Also, we have plastic bottles that have been manufactured from reused plastic and that can be used many more times than normal plastic bottles.
I think that by changing those small actions, we give rise to great actions that improve on the planet.
Then, the whole class has reached an agreement and we have chosen the option that has caught our attention and we have concluded that it is more important to reduce the use of plastic bottles in our day to day, together with using Less plastic when we do the shopping.
Next we have moved to the second step that is to imagine, think about possible solutions and in groups we have to think about possible solutions, dreaming High.

January 24, 2020 'I can'.
The 'I can' method.
With this methodology, learning takes place in a real context, which makes students feel better and their learning is more active.
There are human People that CAN be pasionant about something.
With this methodology they are making a change, learn outside of school.
The methodology could be divided into 4 steps;
Then we have made the first step, think about possible problems today, or things we do that we think we can improve.
These have been the results that have been obtained in class.
Today, the teacher has put us a very interesting video about the virus I can. A very interesting video that has made us think deeply.
With this methodology, learning takes place in a real context, which makes students feel better and their learning is more active.
We have observed how with this methodology, students go from saying 'teacher told me' to 'i am doing' when they go out and realize what they really do and what they are really exposed to, for example, child exploitation.
There are human People that CAN be pasionant about something.
With this methodology they are making a change, learn outside of school.
The methodology could be divided into 4 steps;
- Feel. Needs, things that have to change, related to earth sciences.
- Imagine. We propose possible solutions.
- Do. We apply the solutions we have proposed.
- Share. Infect everyone of this methodology.
Then we have made the first step, think about possible problems today, or things we do that we think we can improve.

How did I feel the first day of class?
Although it is true that I come from social and I'm a little lost in the subject of science, I want to learn and know much more about what I do not know.
Finally, I think that the fact that this subject is in English makes the subject even more interesting since it is a subject that I love and I think it is an enormous opportunity to be able to attend and listen in English since that makes that little by little, Our level improves.
